We are award-winning wedding videographers who regularly film at Danesfield House in Buckinghamshire. Set in Marlow-on-Thames with stunning views over the River Thames, this elegant country house provides a stunning backdrop for wedding films.

It is a fairytale setting for your wedding and has many options for your civil ceremony, including the Versailles suite, based on the design of the Palace of Versailles, with high ceilings, mirrors and chandeliers.
The Grade II listed house was completed in 1901 and during the Second World War it was a base for the RAF. The house is surrounded by 65 acres of landscaped gardens. Outside there are Italian gardens, water gardens and a croquet lawn, which make for beautiful settings for your wedding photos.
With its terrace overlooking the Thames, Italian gardens and impressive interior spaces, Danesfield House is ideal for weddings throughout the year.

The Wedding Day at Danesfield House
One of the advantages of Danesfield House is that so much of the wedding can happen within the same setting. With accommodation on site, there is an opportunity to capture the story of the day from much earlier than the ceremony, including the preparations and the excitement as family and friends begin to arrive. The hotel currently has 60 bedrooms and suites, including the Stable Courtyard Suites.
There is also a lovely choice of ceremony spaces depending on the size and feel of the wedding. The Chiltern Suite provides a more intimate setting with direct access to its own private terrace, while the Henley Room is suited to smaller ceremonies and has large bay windows that bring plenty of natural light into the room. These smaller spaces offer a very different atmosphere from the grander Versailles Suite already featured on this page.
For larger celebrations, the hotel can also be taken exclusively, giving couples and their guests the use of the house and its facilities for the wedding. That creates a very different experience from simply hiring a single function room, with the whole day feeling more private and self contained.
From a filming perspective, we love having that continuity. It means we can capture the little moments that happen around the main events, from the preparations and conversations in the morning through to guests relaxing together and the atmosphere building during the evening. Those details often become some of the most meaningful parts of the finished film.
