Great House at Sonning

Set on the banks of the River Thames in the picturesque and quaint village of Sonning, the Great House offers couples an intimate space for a country wedding. Surrounded by wonderfully maintained gardens, the grounds reach right down the to the river, so couples could choose to take a romantic boat trip or perhaps entertain their guests on a cruise during the days celebrations.

 

The house itself has a long and impressive history and is licensed for civil ceremonies for up to 120 guests. Once the couple are married the celebrations can continue in the private gardens surrounded with romantic views and stunning scenery perfect for any wedding video!

 

The wedding breakfast is usually held in The Dining Room, which can hold up to 200 friends and family for a delicious dinner. With it’s own private terrace overlooking the river, it’s a lovely space for couples to enjoy their first meal together.
